Annual Labor Day Picnic

Event details: MED, Inc. is proud to have re-established an event that had been a cherished yearly tradition in Brockton. Historically this event celebrated Lithuanian/Baltic heritage and traditions by the Order and was attended annually by everyone who enjoyed the food, music, games and beautifully manicured grounds by at least 15,000-20,000 people annually.

In 2009, while keeping the flavor of the ethnic traditions, we will invite other ethnic groups to join us with booths showing their traditions and crafts.  Further, there will be games, pony rides, antique cars, clowns and activities for children. Adults will be able to sample the wares of between 100-150 artisans and crafts    people as well as enjoy music from two bands, sample cuisine from around the world and partake in games of chance from the old money wheel to Texas Hold ‘ems.

Registration Time: 8:00 a.m. (Pick up numbers and tickets)
Start Time:  9:00 a.m.
Course: 5K (3.1 miles) on flat, suburban roads
Age Categories:  19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+
Pre-Registration: $20 per person, includes a free T-shirt
